Upcoming Events

Now that we have reopened, the Session of Christ Alone Church continues to use a prayerful, cautious approach out of concern for our church family and the greater Green Bay community.

At this time, we have resumed our worship services (with a live stream available), and some studies have been taking place.

Study of Ezra and Nehemiah – begins January 20, 2021 at 6:00 PM: Pastor Cory will begin a weekly midweek study of these two books, which take place after the Israelite exile. From Pastor Cory’s description:

While it will be loosely based on a book from Professor Gerard Bilkes, for those attending, we’ll stick with the text and read through a few chapters each week and then answer questions punctuated by lively discussion. These minor prophets showcase what it means for Israel (God’s people), to return from the exile in Babylon. At a time when many in the church are nominal Christians at best (exiled in and influenced by contemporary culture), this is a wonderful study on reacquainting ourselves with what it means to be redeemed by our Savior and finding our way home again.

Membership Class – begins January 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM: Pastor Cory will hold a membership class, beginning January 23. From Pastor Cory’s description:

Traditionally, the church has offered a New Members Class at the beginning of the year. A new class for the new year for new members! Who am I to argue? My focus is less “all things Presbyterian” in this instruction, and more, “What does the bible specifically call members to do?” It is five weeks long, with hour long sessions on Saturday starting at 10am. January 23 will be our first get together. The five topics will come from Rev. Dr. Joel Beeke’s, “A Faithful Church Member.” Ask me after church and I’ll get you a copy – it is a super fast read! We’ll touch on receiving Christ’s word, our union with Christ’s person, being connected to Christ’s people, serving others in Christ, and growing into Christ’s image. Refreshments will be provided. Please inform me if anyone would need childcare. So, if Christ Alone looks like the place you’d like to put down spiritual roots, we would love to see you there!
